Just the Two of Us Today

12.2C and sunny sunshine all day long. Light WSW/W/S/SE breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound got up at 6.30am again. She was very unsteady. Our walk wasn't a lot of fun. I had to carry her upstairs. Tiring.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve stayed at home.

We took Maeve for another short walk and she was more steady on her feet but we decided to leave her at home today. We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Lots of seals on the rocks basking in the sunshine.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again. Odd without a Maeve. Warm in the sunshine. As we walked there were Gannets flying, and along the horizon two or three ships to watch sail along on the shimmering sea.

There were two boxes of eggs for sale at Little farm's roadside stand again today. I bought a box.

I took Maeve out for another walk mid afternoon. She was walking a bit better.

Later Apothecary7 was putting gesso on paper then finishing her current still life painting.

Late afternoon music ... BBC Radio 2.
