A little helper

This morning I did a job that I should really have done in the Autumn; I scarified the lawn. I only have a postage stamp of a lawn but I'm always amazed at how much thatch I get out of it. I managed to fill my green bin and a large paper composting sack with what came off, and it now looks considerably better. I had the assistance of this robin who followed me round helpfully picking up the bugs that I might have missed. The robin and mate (not sure which is which but this is the thin one and the mate is plumper) have since spent the entire day inspecting the lawn; I think they think I could have done a better job of it.
