Woods

We tested each of the two adventure play area in the woods, quite extensively before stopping by at the wildlife pond on our return to the car for our picnic lunch. We dined al fresco au naturelle.

The girls spent the day at the Bluewater shopping centre *shudders at the thought of it* while we enjoyed the brilliant spring sunshine for a couple of hours. 

Back at home, and I gardened with the help of Master H, who with socks off, set about burying his hands and feet in the moist soil.

Later, when the girls returned, we exchanged tales of our respective days. I asked Master H if he could remember the name of the bird found nesting in the reeds at the pond. He confidently claimed it to be a flamingo!
