Singapore.
Today we arrived in Singapore. We got of the ship and got the subway to the amazing Gardens by the bay. We went in the flower dome which had the most beautiful flowers and sculptures and then into the cloud forest dome which had this massive man made waterfall. We then headed to Supertree grove where Stu went up the OCBC Skyway while I had a walk round. Stus Mom and Dad went off to do there own thing so when Stu came back down we went up to the bar at the top of the highest Supertree for a drink with a view.
From here we walked through the gardens to the Sands hotel and the very posh shopping centre inside. We had a walk around the shops and on a recommendation we headed down into the basement for lunch. It was full of loads of little food stalls all cooking fresh authentic food (like street food but clean). We shared some noodles and a katsu curry and it was the best food we have had all holiday.
After lunch we got back on the subway and headed to Raffles. It took us a while to find it but eventually got there. We checked the opening hours as we decided we were going to come back on the evening for a drink and then went and spent some money in the gift shop.
Back to the ship to get changed, dinner and then back off the ship and in a taxi back to Raffles. The Long bar is closed for refurbishment but the Billiards room was still pretty impressive. We were proper tourists and ordered Singapore slings (which were surprisingly delicious) and threw our peanut shells on the floor. If I come back to Singapore I will definitely be returning to Raffles.
