Hoppy the Scarecrow

This week it is the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival. There are scarecrows popping up all over the village with all different themes, some are absolutely fantastic.

We felt we should make an effort and put our own one up. Last year when it was on we were away on holiday so we missed out.

Kerr made this scarecrow face at the childminder's house on Tuesday. I covered it in cellotape tonight to make it waterproof and kerrsdaddy and I set about building this wee guy! We originally tried to make him stand on Kerr's small trampoline but he kept falling over, so the trampoline idea was ditched and he has a cane propping him up.
Kerr is going to get a surprise when he wakes up in the morning to see this in the front garden. Poor Fudge doesn't know what's going on and was happy just to run around with a ball of string and cellotape while we tried to make the scarecrow stand up straight :-)
