Derelict barn

The day started bright and sunny but it was raining by the afternoon.  Despite being a thriving agricultural area, there is a lot of dereliction around, rusting farm machinery and derelict barns and greenhouses mostly, probably smallholders going out of business.  I went into town this morning and called in at the bulb auction for a reconnoitre.  The prices are half retail so I shall be back.  I bought two small gooseberry bushes and planted them out in the afternoon, having first uprooted a huge rhubarb plant.  I still haven't finished last year's rhubarb from the freezer despite eating it several times a week and now there is more to cut.
