Enjoying the EARLY morning sunshine

Down on the sunny beach early this morning .... I didn't sleep too well and was awake by six .... no point in lying in bed wondering why I wasn't still asleep .... a quick cuppa, wellies on and camera round my neck ... I had the beach to  myself  .... no dogs scaring the birds away.

The heron stood still as a statue while the eider ducks paddled around in the outgoing tide. It was lovely on the beach but very chilly and the icy blasts were a constant feature throughout the day.
