Tree Fungi

Well my take on Fungi, mushrooms in particular is you can slice or chop them fry them in butter with steak and onions and they taste great. You can make a very tasty soup. This afternoon Marie and I ventured out between rain drops that were falling rapidly and often,to look for some Fungi, lying on the ground, leopard crawling through the wet undergrowth was exciting, to see so many colours and varieties of Fungi some growing on the side of a tree like this one and some so tiny that the bugs made them look small was a great experience. Maybe we will see some in Fiordland later this week. I tried to look up the name of this and gave up after 10mins and I was only halfway through C. How do you Nature Enthusiasts find the name of your Fungi?
