Tonight I had the group running 500m intervals, run 500m at 3000m pace and 500m recovery and had them doing this for around 30 mins and then some stretching and a gentle warm down. Most managed between 5 and 6 which is pretty good. The idea behind this is to build up their speed endurance so they can run their longer runs faster.
