Common Ringed Plover
As beaks go this Common Ringed Plover has to have one of the smallest for a shore bird. This is a very sweet little bird and amazingly the black and white plumage disappears into the background of shingle incredibly well, along with the fact this really is a really tiny little thing. I think this little female is on the look out for a male with a bright orange eye-ring.
