Out for lunch
We went out for lunch today in one of the many cafes which have replaced the neighbourhood shops. Napoleon may have said Britain (more likely he would have said England) is a nation of shop keepers. Today he would day a nation of coffee shop proprietors. Thankfully all the cafes are independents and we have not yet been invaded by Starbucks in this area.
After lunch we went to the Dutch Mill for a glass of wine, which turned into two glasses.
Despite the heavy cloud at around mid day we did not have any rain, and the cloud cleared away, though it was not particularly warm.
