Liberation

I have always liked this bronze sculpture, but this evening, the sun hitting it was just perfect, and I don't think I have ever seen it look better. It celebrates Liberation day, and is where Liberation day is celebrated each year with a service and speeches. 

I don't like waiting, and I don't like crowds, so I don't go, but I normally walk down in time to catch the classic car parade at the end of the event.
