Round in circles......

A day of this and that. Amy the vet came out to check the breeding heifers I am trying to sell were all correct internally for breeding. If a heifer is a twin to a bull calf then she is what we call a Jenny , or freemartin which means she lacks the suitable reproductive organs. Think it is something to do with sharing the womb with male hormones. Any way all the ones we checked were OK.
She had 2 final year students with her who both had a go at testing too. Maybe I am getting old , but they both looked like they were in primary school !
You should never count your chickens before they hatch ! Just had a phone call to say that the heifers we sold yesterday are now not sold as the buyer was unable to provide suitable funds ! Better finding out now while they are still in MY shed !
The sweep auger in the bottom of the grain bin left its mark today as you can see .
