Beastie on the Flower

No idea what kind of beastie this or, or indeed what kind of plant this is but both are in my garden.
I promise to do something different from flowers and beasties tomorrow :)

Chose this photo because I really like the pattern on the beastie's wings. Tried cropping the photo even more to just get the beastie but it didn't look right.

Nothing to note in today's diary at all.
