The Priest's Hole

Spent the morning in the smallest room of Oxburgh - the garderobe - from which the trapdoor leads to the priest's hole. A constant stream of visitors including many children as it is now school holidays in Norfolk. Some just wanted to scramble in and out of the hole but some of the children had very sensible questions and were interested in the history behind it. Some of the older, and not so old, people declined to go down but were content just to hear the story, fearing if they got down there they may not be able to get out again (I can sympathise with that - I haven't been down there  for the same reason!)
