Rescued!

We (me and Rik) were on the last part of our short walk when I spotted this peacock butterfly on the side of the road. It look like it might have been hurt so I put my hand down and it climbed on. We walked home with in my capped palm and I put on the heather in the window box in the full sun. I'm hoping it survives and manages to get to whenever it was supposed be. I'm a bit of a sucker for any wildlife in distress and have helped countless insects species over the years.
