...if it's your own home?

It's been a busy day, so I didn't notice that my house keys were missing until my (late) hometime. Dug through my handbag. Nope. Emptied it out on my desk. Nope. Went though both sets of drawers. Twice. Nope...

So I started to panic a bit - no-one else has a key to my house, and I don't keep one under a plantpot (or anywhere more original!). But then I remembered my double glazing fitter's advice: if ever you get locked out, don't ring a locksmith. He'll have to break the door and it'll cost a fortune to replace. Just smash a window - cheaper and much more fun!

So then, on the way to the car, I was thinking about what I could use to smash a window - no bricks handy, would a plant pot do it? And where do you hit the window (he didn't tell me that!) - in the middle, around the edge or in a corner? And which window would be best - the small side one would be cheaper, but would I fit through it afterwards??

But I got to my car and there were my keys, lying in the footwell behind the passenger seat. Phew, I was relieved. And just a little bit disappointed...
