Derelict Sunday - Bench
Another fabulous day for sunshine. We had a Skype session this morning, for about an hour and a half, and then a nice long walk through the Warwickshire countryside this afternoon.
Unlike last week, this week we found loads of benches should we have wanted to stop for lunch (we didn't - we had already eaten at home, al fresco). This bench didn't look as though it would be capable of holding much weight - but it was rather pretty with all the brambles and blossom and moss.
Thank you to both Kit267 and RockArea for identifying my mystery bird yresterday, which was a Chiffchaff.
Last week we saw a red kite about 2 miles from our home (Warwickshire). That is the closest to here that we have seen one to date. There are many in Oxfordshire, (as well as the Childerns, and mid-Wales) especially around the motorway area. They're obviously map reading and heading up the M40.
Thanks to Marlieske who is hosting the Derelict Sunday challenge.
