Not Bats

This morning we went to Grappenhall tower, where we have been learning bellringing, so that I could take some photos in the belfry.

They are just about to make an announcement and need some shots to use in publicity materials and on social media.

I wanted some photos of the bells down and some of them up in the ringing position.

After taking the photos we went down into the ringing room and were invited to join the ringing.

We then jumped in the car and headed to our own tower in time for ringing there. We had a couple of visitors from Oxfordshire and all 10 bells were rung.

The visitors in the photo had found their way through the mesh and into the belfry. They did not flinch when the bells started to ring just a few feet away. I on the other hand was wearing my ear defenders.
