From the skies

I love flying. I mean I REALLY, LOVE flying. I get the usual butterflies like most people for a few seconds, but that dissolves the minute we lift off. It's an amazing feeling, and one that is ever changing in terms of the view. I think there are 2 reasons why I like flying so much - the feeling of being in flight and the view/surroundings. I must have hundreds of pictures of the engines with different sky/land backgrounds, it is such a captivating scene, full of emotion.

I particularly chose this image for blip as it is so beautiful. The light, the colour, the texture, the depth to it. The quality isn't amazing as was taken on iPhone (on flight mode!) but it still works. There is something a little melancholy though about being above the clouds, one has time with their thoughts alone. It also is the result in leaving a beloved place behind.

Steve and I have had just the most brilliant time away this week. 6 days of catching up, chilling out and celebrating with friends. Just so, so brilliant.
