Swallowed Whole!
Another day in the room! I have now reached furniture so tomorrow will be furniture musical chairs! I'm daunted by the boxes of paper I have to recycle - the thought of gathering it in realms and posting it through the metal containers large letter boxes makes me want to groan! Not helped by the fact I have cricked my back and each day in the room makes it ache! I can now barely get through my hallway with its bags of paper, metal, plastic, electricals and empty files!
By 8 in the eve I needed food but had no energy as had not eaten since breakfast - so poached eggs on toast it was! Then the rest of the evening spent magicing paper out of plastic pockets! I checked and they cannot be recycled, nor can cassettes! But I can buy a thing which will transform cassettes into MP3's and a deck for my records! So tomorrow the archaic music system will take it's place in my hallway!
My blip is a silk sheet made by the Art teacher - I used it when we did anything sea related - with a bamboo pole slipped along it's seam it moved beautifully along with the fishes she also made - add a water mister and suitable music and the children were transported under the sea! We always sang "Slippery Fish" with actions and props too - with me dressed as an octopus using psychedelic tights stuffed with paper and an all over face mask with golden plastic eyes! Of course I also had a 4 ft rubber shark , assorted fish and a giant inflatable whale which the staff hated as guess who had to blow it up!! Ahhh the fun we had!
P.S. Whale can be loaned along with all other props for a reasonable amount! ;-) I cost extra if you want octopus me!
