Zwartsbles

This morning we went out to see how our neighbour's Zwartzble sheep were doing with their new lambs. They are a special breed, Dutch I think. Nathaniel loved watching them, but Ella was in a rush to get down to the park.

In the afternoon #3 daughter's friend Vicky arrived with her boy Hugo - exactly 2 years ago we went to visit them when he was a tiny baby. Vicky used to visit every Christmas holiday and have a long wintry walk with us, but now she has Hugo live is a bit busier. Ella and Nathaniel took him to see the lambs then we all played in the woods.

They have all gone now, Mr C is having a restorative nap and I'm going to read my book, a Penelope Lively called "Consequences" - a good read but not demanding, so just what I need after a hectic few days!
