For Dad
Dad would have been 85 today had he been alive. Unfortunately he was taken from us much too soon. It will be 13 years in May that he left.
Out 1st to return some boots that were too tight then back for a shopping delivery. After lunch I rubbed down & stained one of our benches - looks great tonight as I managed to give it another coat at about 1930 hrs,. C meanwhile had got her mate G here for chats coffee & beading.
A bright sunny day but a cold wind,
You might remember that we had a problem with the roof. Despite a roofer calling & then coming back with a scaffolder I never heard another thing despite sending a couple of texts......well his loss. Stu had been researching the issue at the same time & had come up with a contact. He called around today & Stu has got a verbal quote already (just waiting for it in writing) seems reasonable to me & he might just get the job. I have said Yes.
PS the picture is of a column Cherry Tree in our garden which is in full bloom.
Still miss you Dad
