Chicago day 2

Began with the excellent Architecture Foundation Chicago River tour up and down several branches of the river on a boat....Chilly but no rain!   All new recently .. The river may be clean enuf to swim in in about 10years... So much new development!  And a walk up Michigan Ave thru millennium park ( and kapoor's "cloud gate") and lunch at the art institute of course we had to visit my favorite La Grande Jatte by Seurat.. I did take painting lessons on sat there in the 60s... Love this museum.   But far too much to look at.   Had a coffee/smoothie break there too!  A wonderful medieval arms and armor exhibit .. .. Didn't miss a photo op with statue of Nathan Hale at tribune tower since that is the boys high school in Seattle!  Walk back with Oskar checking every sports shop along the way..  We were exhausted and put our feet up at the hotel at 5 PM  Might be time to go get dinner!!
