No canoing today..

the river was to high for us to go out with the children, so we packed up and headed for the forest with plans to pre-book a day later in the year.

A pub was what we were searching for first, how hard was that? Eventually found one and had scampi all round. Played Star Wars Top Trumps whilst waiting for the food and had a pea food fight when it had arrived. We were outside in the rain, but didn't care.

A short walk in the woods before heading home for an ice-cream on the common. Lovely day.
