Walls & Boats

After checking out of our hotel this morning, we drove to Housesteads Roman Fort. As I think we've overdone it a bit with Castles since we got our Historic Scotland membership 3 years ago, I wasn't sure what Ethan would think. However he really enjoyed it and we spent a fun 2 hours there. We briefly stopped off at Chesters Fort too before heading to our next destination - North Shields Port.

We're going on a mini cruise to Amsterdam! Ethan has been desperate to go on a cruise for ages, so we thought we'd try him out with this as a surprise! Even when we checked in, he didn't suss that we were actually going on the big ship he'd spotted! It was only when our bags went through the X-ray machine that the light started to dawn on him! He's very excited!
