Water festival

Sorry I have not posted anything for a few days.  We had a good flight back to ChiangMai, with only an hour and a half to wait in Singapore.   If you know Singapore you will appreciate that it takes time to get from T1 to T2, it involves a train and lots of walking.  We just about had time to grab a coffee.    On arriving home we discovered that we had no internet.  Last time we paid the bill the sales assistant keyed in a wrong mumber.  Hubby had to spend hours getting it all fixed up.

Anyway I am back in action now.

We have arrived back just in time for the water festival, it has a name,  but I don't know how to spell it, something like Songkran.  What basically happens is people spray you with water, or throw buckets of water at you.  It officially starts on Thursday,  but quite a few people were practicing last night, and tuk tuks are very open, fortunately we only got sprayed with water pistols.  However, one seat in the Song taew we came home in was wet.   My shot shows the decorations that are hung up for the holiday.  It is the equivalent of new year.
