Signs of Spring..

it's time to start recording the signs of spring around here!   winter is soooo long and we are all getting very fed up with snow....so now begins my search each day for a new sign of spring!

Some open water at the far end of the pond has enticed a pair of ducks to have a little paddle.   Earlier on this morning i saw two Canada Geese walking and honking on the snow and ice covered pond!   they seemed a bit pissed off.....so i checked back on Blip of course, the record of my life.....and saw that around this time last year we had open water!   Hopefully they'll come back some other time and raise their offspring again!

The extra's are another common sign of spring in Cape Breton....muddy roads and fallen culvert coverings!!!!   Decided to write an email to the roads department with photos and see if that puts us closer to the top of their list of damaged roads to be fixed!!!  we'll see!
