Day 103/17. A common Dandelion.

Another lunchtime skirmish into the garden with my trusty macro lens. Today's offering is a common Dandelion.
I guess kids the world over call them dandelion clocks.....the number of puffs of breath it takes to clear all the seeds off is supposed to tell the time. But of course it only tells you how ripe the seeds are......
The silky 'umbrellas' at the end are called Pappi.....  and todays botanical lesson is over.
