The Natural Bridge

Today was Jaiyas birthday.......we went exploring to The Natural Bridge that sits just on the rim of the Caldera. Such a beautiful walk into the rainforest to be greeted by the waterfall dissapearing through a hole in the rocks.....getting to the bottom revealed the lovely cave ...water and light falling through the hole.
If one stays in the cave until dark it lights up with glow worms....I will go back to see this at some time.

We drove through some breathtaking country...some parts were like Jurassic Park the Valleys were so wide and deep it was awesome and just to think less than an hour away from where we live.

We saw Wollumbin (Mt Warning) from a different perspective and the mountains seemed to go on forever.
I really need to get some lessons on landscape photography and if anyone has any tips...always welcome.....I find that I can never quite get the majesty of this long distance landscape.

It was a fabulous day....and now it time for tea and a piece of chocolate cake that Dion made....it arrived in a wok with the plate gaffer taped to it...I think a very ingenious way to transport cake around this countryside.
