oh deer...

...it's a deer

i nearly had a run in with a small herd of deer - coming out of my underground parking garage this morning - they were lining the walkway - as well going up onto a portion of the grassy area where - some young trees have been planted - and have just begun sprouting new shoots - on their branches - what does one do when confronted with such a sighting - as they're sitting behind a steering wheel? - why of course one pulls out the faithful iphone - to snap a few pictures hoping #1 they'll turn out &, - #2 the deer won't run off in the middle - of snapping a photo - happily neither occurred - additionally none of said deer ran into my vehicle - which could have caused some horrendous damage

so even though i'd had something totally different in mind - for the day because it's good friday after all - a very crucial day for christians - one which i, personally hold dear since it is clearly a time - in which my/our abba father showed the ultimate sacrifice in all things love - when he gave his son on the cross for all of us - when i think how jesus bore our sins on the cross - and how his father sacrificed him so he could do that for us - there are no words i can find to express any kind - of appreciation or thanksgiving for that action - i believe the meaning gets hidden behind easter eggs and baskets these days - not enough emphasis is put on the true meaning any longer - we need to get back to our roots especially in light of events - which are transpiring in our world today - we live in tumultuous and very scary times - need to have something concrete and substantial to place our trust in - it's a word to ponder, one which makes me think often - knowing if i spend time doing so it will lead to...
