Fairyland

Clambering over the fence into the field it was just like entering Fairyland.

Early this morning the fog had rolled in and just as quickly receded leaving everything in it's wake saturated with dew. Initially it looked like a frost there were so many sparkling droplets!

This is a grass seed-head and there were hundreds reaching upwards, looking like little glimmering goblets. The minuscule webs of the spiders intricately interlaced over the spiky heads in such a way as to form in many cases a cup shape and having caught the dew twinkled in the low sun. It was quite magical!
