An Edinburgh day
Gorse above Duddingston Loch
Up early today to shove down some porridge before departing Edinburghwards for our annual yomp up Arthur's Seat. Parked at Duddingston so went up the steep way, Son 2 as usual seeing the exercise as a competitive sport rather than a family walk. Obligatory photos taken at the top it was down towards Holyrood for a coffee and back round the bottom to the car. We were all starving by then so drove off to find lunch: 10 to 10 in Delhi was the favoured option and once again it was fab - and cheap.
Suitably fortified with vast amounts of dahl and chana masala we found a parking space in the town centre for a couple of hours shopping. Then cottagewards for yet more food. Not sure if it's all the walking or being a teenager but it doesn't seem to matter how big a meal is, they still are 'STARVING' a few hours later.
