Opera comes to Sturminster Newton

Until about fifteen years ago Sturminster Newton was a delightful market town in North Dorset.  Then the market (i e the cattle market) closed, and the "Exchange", a large public building, took its place.

This weekend the Exchange has hosted members of the London Festival Opera, who sing a selection of operatic arias.  Superb ambience, superb acoustics, outstanding performers: here Zerlina (Mary Plazas) is on the point of succumbing to the charms of Don Giovanni (Philip Blake-Jones).
A night to remember, especially at £25 per head!
