Sunrise over the Pacific

This morning I made the effort to be up to view the rather wonderful sunrise from our apartment window and I was not disappointed.  At first I thought that the clouds would obscure the sun but in the end they just made it more spectacular.
We spent a lazy  morning by the pool and went down to the each for  a short while this afternoon.  The daylight hours seem short here to us  from the UK : the sun rises at around 6am and sets by 5.40pm.  Furthermore, those amazing highrise buildings cast shadows over the beach from 3pm onwards: you have to chase the sun from then!

Violet goes from strength to strength. She loves 'swimming' in the (quite cool) resort pool and in the space of 2 afternoons has learned to love walking on the sand and 'swimming' in the surf.
