Australian White Ibis

Today we took a walk after our pool session as it became  cloudy and a little chilly for  the beach.  Along the sea front there was a variety of birds, some less familiar to us than others!  Alongside the ubiquitous seagulls and pigeons were the highly coloured Rainbow Lorikeets and these White Ibis, who were being fed scraps by some tourists.  Apparently they are well known for scavenging in bins.
This evening we had a splendid family barbeque followed by ten pin bowling!  I haven't bowled for years, but didn't do too badly.  It was great fun and we may try and do it again.
