Those Boids....

...For the first time since we have moved I went down to my old haunts around where I used to live.....(my hand was up for the drive).

It was lovely...I met a friend and we went to one of my favorite parts of the beach where all those Boids hang out.

Rumi was not allowed to run around this part of the beach (because it was a trip through National park to get there) so there wasn't any memories of him being here....which made the outing a little less painful.

We sat in the sun on a log and ate our packed lunch after spending ages creeping up on the birds to take their pics....hungry work....they are such characters when you watch them for a while.

It was a lovely day and on the way home I visited a friend who didn't fare so well in the floods.....Insurance is such a tricky thing.
