Space and time

My mom will say of the regular walks we take around Silverado, "I used to walk here all the time." Sometimes she elaborates. "I'd come here when I had a car." Or, "I remember when I first saw them make this field. I couldn't believe it." Of some houses and condos being built, she'll say, "Something must have happened to their money. They've been building these places for more than two years. They haven't made any progress." But then she'll notice when they make progress! (And just to be clear: she never walked in that area before she moved in to Silverado on Feb. 4.)

It's all very mysterious. Also today she said she had two things going on in her head. I asked if she had a headache. No, she had ideas. One was that she should move out of her house and into "one of those places." Later the other one came out. It was that she was ready to move back home.

Leah at Silverado said that as occupancy goes up they'll need to start filling the rooms. Mom is going to get sized up for a potential roommate tomorrow.
