And so home, having spent a very comfortable night in the biggest room in the Fisherman's Tavern in Broughty Ferry. Why we were given the biggest room I'll never know but we could have entertained the whole family in it and still had space to spare.The other thing that made me smile was the number of golfers rather than fishermen sharing the hotel with us.

It was a cold grey day in Broughty Ferry as we left and a cold grey day when we arrived back at Waverley. I have just watched the weather forecast on the late lunchtime news and wonder if I live in the same sunny island the weather man is describing.
