guild concert

on my way to the carreras and katherine jones concert l saw an exhibition about temperance - the upshot being that the medals are donated to UCLAN. SO to the park which was heaving - we queued for 45mins round the park but got a superb central spot and settled to our picnic - watched the harpist tune up (interesting) THEN the MAGIC began and what magic it was. the crowd stood and cheered until there was an encore from each and a magical duet to end the evening. there is a passion for good music all round the country so please don't keep it in London.
on the bus going home a group of 'golden oldies' burst into 'O sole mio' much to the interest of the passengers - except it was the ice cream version!!
