Why or Y

There are goldfinches nesting in our shower! Yes there are! Hard to believe you may think .......

Why? 

It was odd that small feathers were being blown inside on windy days into the shower cubicle from the electric fan vent which hadn't worked for years, a while ago. All is now revealed: we have voyeuristic birds who are bringing or about to bring up their youngsters into hot and steamy goings on!! Not the ticket one feels for a young family of any description! 

Peeking in, standing on a stool in the cubicle (glad there was no blipper around at this point) I can't see anything but the male is on the telephone wire outside on guard and it was Hubs who saw him fly up and into the ventilation duct. What a cool spot for him to choose - so very safe from the weather and predation but not so keen on his nighttime viewing ;) Good job we love goldfinches.
