Comfort Food

We thought we might not make the ferry connection to the mainland this morning because the terminal was so busy, but we did.  Always a relief when we don't have to wait for two hours for the next ferry.   We had breakfast on the ferry, scrambled eggs with some Hollandaise, beans, a couple of hash browns and coffee.  Comfort food for me!  I took a photo with my phone because I knew I wouldn't want to get out the camera once we got to R's house.  
Funny, whenever G's away and I'm eating alone, I almost always have beans on toast.  I just asked R if she remembered having that when she was at home and G was away, and she said, "There was never a question about what we'd be having."  Yup, comfort food.  
We saw Kalyn briefly after school.  She's off to a team dinner.  J got home from work and had to take his dad for an appointment.  Now he's home and Krista and Dan should be arriving any minute.  Great to be here!  Looking forward to a long day of volleyball tomorrow.
