Horse Grind Ferry Slipway.

The ferry was replaced many years ago by the 'Green Dragon Bridge,'  named after the nearby historic inn. The ferry was the only one on the Cam that was pulled across  on a chain, wound by horses instead of by hand. I have been across by other ferries many times in my younger days. On the left is the pub garden area and the bridge where I wait to get a picture of the passing university rowers.  I was actually wanting to get nearer to the swans but the man, standing by the water had a dog who was swimming and the swans soon moved further up river.
