Bagged Bruck

A warm day in the lea, but when exposed to the cold northerly wind, brrrr!  There's been showers through the day, wintery at times, but sunny spells now and then.

I was in the museum office for the morning.  I've been sorting through photos for scanning.  The afternoon was on the desk, and I got the chance to finish off what I had started in the morning.  Popped back to Lerwick at teatime, and went to the auction sale room for a look.  Walkies with Sammy,  and now a quiet night at home, much needed!

I headed out at lunchtime, and had my lunch by the sea.  It's that time of year again, when all these green plastic bags appear.  They are collected rubbish from the beaches, roads etc, for the annual Voar Redd Up.  Over the next few weeks, volunteers across Shetland will be busy cleaning up the isles, mostly from washed up bruck.  It's a shame us humans destroy this planet with our mess, more cleaning is needed.  Taken at Gulberwick beach.
