Empty Chair
Busy wee day. The usual morning - meal plan, shopping list & farm shop. A bit easier this week as I'll be in Belfast & Derry midweek.
A grand lunch - chicken fried rice. Quick, easy & delicious.
In the afternoon - out canvassing for the local authority election on 4 May. Some friendly discussions on the doorsteps. No headcases or aggressive dogs.
Then dragged N out for another mini pub crawl & dinner. My local knowledge on this subject is so good I tried to take us to one which has shut down (or turned into a lap dancing place - hard to tell at 6pm).
A Lebanese dinner with plenty good vegan/vegetarian options.
Empty chairs are a political thing. May is refusing to participate in TV debates for the Westminster election in June. She knows Nicola Sturgeon would turn her inside out without breaking sweat. The challenge is to get the TV cowards to run debates without May.
Perhaps the most notable event of the day was that N actually spoke about her mother over dinner. I think that's only the second time in the 7 years I've known her.
