Fair crack of the whip.

This man (and about 6 others) were going about their daily exercise routine. 'Whip' cracking. It is not your standard whip however. The whip itself is made from a heavy link chain. This group gathers every day from 9:00 till 12:00 to practice and learn their art. I took about 200 pics of them doing different things with the whips. It's quite dangerous I am sure because they really are thick chains. Some of them stood in the one spot and 'cracked' and some, like this man, combine movement with their cracking. Some of them cracked two whips at the same time with one in each hand in a very flowing and artful way and I even saw one man cracking two whips at the same time in the one hand.

They have a teacher who guides them.. I am very tempted to join up. It is a great work out and well as a very fluid and graceful thing to watch. And also a cool 'act' at parties.

I have seen and photographed them a few times but always had a bird or somethign else to blip.
