Yokohama
Meiji Jingu Shrine hadn't changed much in the 15 years since I last visited. To be honest it probably hasn't changed much since the Emperor died in 1912 but how would I know? It still is a popular tourist destination so we headed there in the morning whilst Minoru attended church. When we all got together again in the afternoon we set off for Yokokama where Marika's parents lived. The quay side gardens and China Town were busy and interesting and led us in to the hotel where the Okadas had been married 13 years previously. Dinner later was a magnificent spread at the home of Mariko's parents. Japanese hospitality at it's most welcoming.
