Pukekho

These are some of my fav birds, not quite sure why, they are lazy (will do almost anything not to fly) and bad tempered, but always seem to have more than their fair share of personality. This one of course is not real, she is ceramic and sits in my peace lillys in the lounge, peering put through the leaves.
Apparently not native to NZ, they originally came from Australia, they have communal nests and are quite territorial if someone comes too close when there are chicks about.
