Curious George

Today I have been curious. There are two roads, just before and just after the roundabout, and I've wondered since I moved here where they went. This is where the first one ends up :-)

So, I forgot to get bread when I was out this morning, and I thought I'd walk to the shop in the next village (ours are a bit rubbish and it's been a gorgeous day - I miss the sun!). My neighbour (at least I think it was her) told me shortly after I moved in that I could walk it really easily on "the old road", and I thought this road might be it - nope! So it took me about an hour and a half to get to the shop and just over half an hour to get back...

But the not-the-old-road was pretty - dead end so no traffic, beautiful trumpet shaped white flowers, thistles and ferns in abundance, apple trees and bushes with red and orange berries. And frequent scrabbling noises, which I chose not to investigate...

And I bought crumpets for tea, since I'd done all that walking ;-)
