rain on marigold

A disappointing day photographically.

I managed to botch shots of dragonflies and courting butterflies, maybe it was just too hot and bright?

So we are left with a late visit to the allotment. The companion planting of marigold has been wonderful and when they are watered the drops of water on the petals are like jewels.

The BBQ was nice, only the third [?] of the year, hastily thrown together. Nicely cooked meats with allotment salad, cheeky bottle of red....
